Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is seeking an Allied Health Assistant (Grade 2) to support the delivery of high-quality care across acute hospital wards and community settings. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your experience in a dynamic multidisciplinary team, with a strong focus on Occupational Therapy support.

 

The Position:

Reporting to the Allied Health Team Leader, you will provide delegated clinical support to Allied Health Professionals, primarily within Occupational Therapy, while contributing to the broader multidisciplinary team.

This role offers exposure to a diverse caseload across inpatient and community environments, supporting patients to maximise independence and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

 

You will support the delivery of individual and group therapy programs, assist with rehabilitation and daily living activities, gather and document client information, and maintain therapy equipment, while working collaboratively across acute and community settings as part of a multidisciplinary team.

What You Bring: 

  • Allied Health Assistant qualification (minimum Certificate III)
  • Strong communication and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • A genuine commitment to providing person-centred care
  • An interest in, or experience with, Occupational Therapy
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of settings, including acute wards and community environments
