An exciting opportunity now exists at BRHS for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Community Nursing team on a casual basis in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.

This flexible role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference supporting people recovering from cardiac events to regain confidence, improve their health, and reduce future risk — all within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

The position:

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse will work within the Community Health Nursing and Allied Health teams to deliver and support the cardiac rehabilitation program. Key aspects of the role include:

• Delivering and supporting group-based cardiac rehabilitation sessions
• Assessing new clients and monitoring participants during exercise and education sessions
• Providing practical education on cardiac health, lifestyle modification and self-management
• Working collaboratively with nursing, physiotherapy and other allied health professionals
• Supporting the effective day-to-day running of the program

Key criteria required:

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Demonstrated experience in cardiac, acute or rehabilitation nursing
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and engage patients in a group setting
• Sound clinical knowledge of cardiac health and chronic disease management
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
