An exciting opportunity now exists at BRHS for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Community Nursing team on a casual basis in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.
This flexible role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference supporting people recovering from cardiac events to regain confidence, improve their health, and reduce future risk — all within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
The position:
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse will work within the Community Health Nursing and Allied Health teams to deliver and support the cardiac rehabilitation program. Key aspects of the role include:
- Delivering and supporting group-based cardiac rehabilitation sessions
- Assessing new clients and monitoring participants during exercise and education sessions
- Providing practical education on cardiac health, lifestyle modification and self-management
- Working collaboratively with nursing, physiotherapy and other allied health professionals
- Supporting the effective day-to-day running of the program

Key criteria required:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated experience in cardiac, acute or rehabilitation nursing
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and engage patients in a group setting
- Sound clinical knowledge of cardiac health and chronic disease management
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
