Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is seeking an experienced and strategic nursing leader to join our Community Nursing leadership team as Deputy Director of Nursing – Care@Home. This restructured senior leadership role provides clinical and operational oversight across community-based nursing and specialist programs, supporting people across East Gippsland to live well and independently at home.

 

The Contract: Ongoing, Full Time, 80 hours per fortnight with monthly ADO

 

About the Role

Reporting to the Operational Director Care@Home, this role provides senior clinical and operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of community nursing services in our Clinical Care division. You will work closely with Nurse Unit Managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality, person-centred care delivered across clinic, outreach and home-based settings.

The position has a strong focus on service integration, performance and workforce leadership, and compliance with relevant funding and quality frameworks. It contributes to strategic planning and service development, supports contemporary and innovative models of community nursing care, deputises for the Operational Director Care@Home and participates in the operational on-call roster.

 

About You

You are a collaborative and strategic nursing leader with experience in community and/or integrated care settings. You will bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience, including leading teams and managing service performance
  • Strong understanding of community nursing models, quality standards and funding frameworks
  • Well-developed communication, engagement and people leadership skills
  • Experience contributing to service improvement, change and workforce sustainability
