An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for education and workforce development to join Bairnsdale Regional Health Service in a combined Education Coordinator role supporting the Enrolled Nurse Transition to Practice Program and Aged Care education. Based within the Learning, Support and Development Unit, this role is key to building clinical capability, confidence and workforce sustainability across BRHS and Maddocks Gardens Residential Aged Care.
The Position: Education Coordinator - Enrolled Nurse Transition to Practice Program & Aged Care
The Contract: Fixed Term, Full Time, 80 hours per fortnight with ADO (12 month contract)
This fixed term, full-time role supports the delivery of high‑quality education across the Enrolled Nurse Transition to Practice Program and Maddocks Gardens Residential Aged Care staff.
The role coordinates graduate EN recruitment, orientation, study days and competency development, while working closely with Nurse Unit Managers, clinical leaders and the Aged Care Educator to build workforce capability and clinical confidence.
Key Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and a minimum of 3 years’ recent clinical experience.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical education, preceptorship or supervision, with the ability to coordinate, deliver and evaluate structured learning programs.
- Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to mentor staff and support graduates in diverse clinical and aged care settings.
- TAE / Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable) or willingness to undertake, with a commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
