Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is seeking applications for Food Services Supervisor positions to provide leadership and support to our Food Services team during evening operations. These newly created roles have been established in response to increased evening workload, requiring dedicated supervisory oversight to manage workflow, coordinate staff and ensure safe, consistent food service delivery.
The Contract: Fixed Term, Part Time, 56 hours per fortnight across two positions (hours can be split). Shift times are 4.15 pm – 8.15 pm, across a 7-day rotating roster. Please specify your preferred hours in your application.
The Position:
Reporting to Executive Chef, handover with Senior Cook and day shift Supervisor. The Food Services Supervisor provides on‑the‑floor leadership and coordination during evening shifts to support safe, efficient and consistent food service delivery across the health service. Working closely with the team, the role oversees evening workflows, supports and supervises Food Services Assistants, and ensures meals are delivered accurately and in line with dietary, food safety and hygiene requirements. The position plays a key role in maintaining service standards, supporting staff performance and managing increased operational demands during evening operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Current Safe Food Handling Certificate with knowledge of food safety and HACCP
- Demonstrated experience supervising or leading staff within food services, hospitality, or healthcare
- Experience in food preparation and/or food service
- Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills
- Commitment to high‑quality, patient‑centered service and workplace safety
