Intake and Administration Officer - Central Intake

Make a real difference to people accessing healthcare services in East Gippsland. In this rewarding administration role, you'll be the first point of contact for clients, completing initial needs assessments, coordinating referrals and helping connect people with the right support to remain safely at home or transition smoothly from hospital to home.
The Contract: Ongoing Part Time | 48 hours per fortnight
The Position
Central Intake provides coordination and administrative support across the BRHS Health Independence Program and a range of community and home-based services. In this role, you will:
- Coordinate referrals across community health services.
- Complete initial needs assessments and intake processes.
- Triage and schedule client appointments.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and referrers.
- Maintain accurate client records and data systems.
- Liaise with clinicians, GPs and external providers.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 4 years' administration and customer service experience.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume client interactions with accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence learning new systems.
- Certificate III in Business/Administration desirable.
