As Nurse Unit Manager of the Oncology and Medical Ambulatory Day Unit, you'll lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team, drive service innovation and influence the delivery of high-quality care close to home. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Oncology and Medical Ambulatory Day Unit's daily operations and performance.
  • Manage workforce planning, recruitment, rostering and staff development.
  • Drive quality, safety, accreditation and clinical governance activities.
  • Improve patient outcomes through service innovation and evidence-based practice.
  • Coach and mentor nursing leaders to build capability and succession pathways.
  • Shape the future direction and growth of cancer services across East Gippsland.

 

The Contract: Fixed Term Full Time until June 2027 | 80 hours per fortnight

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in oncology, haematology or related speciality
  • Strong people leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience managing workforce, quality and service performance outcome
  • Postgraduate Cancer Nursing qualification or commitment to complete
  • Advanced Life Support certification or commitment to obtain
