Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) has an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and compassionate Planned Activities Group Assistants to join our Community Wellbeing and Partnerships team. These ongoing part time roles, along with casual opportunities, play a key part in delivering engaging centre based and community activities that support people of different ages and abilities to benefit from social connection. The positions play a key role in promoting independence, wellness, socialisation and community inclusion through person centred care and goal focused activities.
The Contract: Ongoing, Part Time, 62.0 hours per fortnight shared across two positions. Casual positions also available. Please specify your preferred employment type and hours in your application.
About the Team:
The BRHS Planned Activities Group program provides centre based and community activities for people of different ages and abilities who will benefit social connection. Our focus is to meet individual needs and goals through care planning and the provision of opportunities for socialisation, independence, wellness and community inclusion.
The Position:
In this rewarding role, you will provide practical and person-centred support to participants attending Planned Activity Group programs. You will assist with the delivery of a variety of social, recreational and wellness focused activities, support food services, transport and personal care needs, and contribute to basic administrative tasks. You will work as part of a close knit and supportive team in a positive environment focused on meaningful community participation, enjoying great hours across a Monday to Friday roster.

What You’ll Need
- Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support or a Certificate IV in Leisure & Health (or equivalent)
- Experience delivering group activities or community-based programs
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
