Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is the leading healthcare provider in East Gippsland, committed to delivering safe, high‑quality care to our community. We are seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Coordinator to join our Corporate Services team to play a key role in strengthening BRHS’s operational risk management, legislative compliance and governance/audit functions.  This is a great opportunity to enhance your experience in a rewarding role in a multifaceted environment.

 

The Contract: Ongoing, Full-Time, 80.0 hours per fortnight with monthly ADO

 

The Role:

As our Risk and Compliance Coordinator, you will be instrumental in strengthening organisational governance at BRHS. You will coordinate the implementation of our Risk Management Framework and operational risk registers, support accreditation and internal audit planning and activities, assist in legislative compliance reporting and monitoring, and help maintain a strong business continuity planning framework. Working collaboratively across departments and with sub‑regional partners, you will provide clear advice, meaningful reporting and practical support to embed effective risk management, compliance and governance/audit practices across the organisation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Tertiary qualification in Risk Management, Governance, Compliance or related field.
  • Knowledge of contemporary risk management frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO‑31000) highly desirable
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance or Governance role.
  • A calm, pragmatic style — you're known for getting things done, not talking about getting things done
  • Strong communication, analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
