Qualified Security Officers are sought to join our Security Team in part-time and fixed-term opportunities.  As part of a 24/7 service, you will provide security coverage across all BRHS premises, including the main acute campus, Maddocks Gardens Residential Aged Care facility and our Ross Street Community Health Campus.

 

The Contracts: Multiple opportunities available

  • Ongoing part-time position – 72 hours per fortnight
  • Fixed-term contracts available for up to 6 months
  • Opportunity to work additional shifts and provide leave coverage across the roster

 

The Position:

In this role, you will be at the frontline of our health service, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safety and security of staff, patients and visitors. You will reflect the BRHS’ commitment to provide the best care experience for every person, every time. Key tasks include:

  • Regular patrols of building and perimeters
  • Responding to Code Gray, Code Black and other emergency calls and assist as per policy and protocols

The Ideal Applicant Will Demonstrate:

  • Current Victorian security license and Certificate ll in Security Operations
  • Proven excellent knowledge of security operations and procedures
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow directions, and adapt to different working environments and leadership styles.
  • Well-developed ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with a wide range of people, including co-workers, health professionals, visitors, patients, residents, family members and external contacts including police and ambulance workers.
  • Availability to work 24 hours across 7 days a week when covering leave is preferred
