We are seeking a qualified Trade Cook to join our Food Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your culinary expertise in a diverse and rewarding environment where quality food and exceptional service make a real difference.
The Contract: Part Time, Fixed Term | 64 hours per fortnight until 3 January 2028
Casual positions are also available. Applicants are asked to stipulate their preferred employment arrangement (part time fixed term or casual) within their application.
The Position:
As a Trade Cook, you will work within a supportive and experienced Food Services team to prepare, cook, portion and serve meals in accordance with the Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) Food Safety Program and Healthy Choices Guidelines. You will play an important role in delivering nutritious and appetising meals to patients, aged care residents, Meals on Wheels clients, staff and visitors, while ensuring special dietary requirements are met and high standards of food safety and customer service are maintained.
The ideal applicant will demonstrate:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with strong food safety knowledge and HACCP compliance.
- Experience in a commercial cooking environment, or hospitality environment with the ability to prepare meals for clients with special dietary requirements.
- Strong organisational skills, efficiency and attention to detail.
- Bulk catering experience, with à la carte and hospitality experience an advantage.
- Creativity, teamwork and a commitment to exceptional food and service.
