We currently have a Community Clinician position in LRH's Mental Health team in Sale for a suitably qualified Community Mental Health Clinician to join our friendly and passionate Mental Health Department on a full-time, ongoing basis. Part time roles may be considered for suitable candidates.
The Community Clinician will provide clinical and support services and be responsible to diagnose, care coordinate, provide evidence-based treatment, psycho-education and consumer and family collaboration across the team in Sale.
This position includes conducting acute clinical assessments in a timely manner and perform urgent acute clinical assessment and routine assessment, working with consumers and carers in safety planning and promoting and delivering high-quality, evidence-based holistic treatment (pharmacological and therapeutic intervention) within a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive framework.
Our Mental Health Department services a diverse caseload in the acute and subacute inpatient units of our hospital and also provides Community Mental Health Services in various areas of Gippsland. As the regional referral hospital for Gippsland, LRH plays a lead role in the provision of specialist services and as a major teaching hospital.

About you
Ideal candidates for this role will be:
- Registered Nurse with a formal post-Graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing or
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA, or
- Appropriate post graduate qualification in Psychology and current registration with AHPRA, or
- Degree or Diploma in Social Work and eligibility or other qualification acceptable for membership to AASW.
- Experience in working in Mental Health service.
- Ability to work within a 7-day roster cycle roster including afternoon shifts.
- Provide a high standard, effective Community Mental Health service.
