Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Senior Community Clinician 0-25 to join our growing team on a full-time or part time basis for Sale Community Mental Health.

 

The Senior Community Clinician 0-25 provides leadership, direction and advanced clinical expertise within a multidisciplinary team delivering specialist mental health care to children, adolescents and young adults. The role supports daily operational activities and delivers a full range of community-based clinical duties, including recovery-orientated practice, comprehensive assessment, evidence-based interventions, psychoeducation and collaborative care with consumers and families. The Senior Clinician plays a key role in supporting the Site & Operations Manager and other senior staff in implementing the Model of Care.

The role of the Senior Community Clinician 0-25 is to:

  • Deliver full range of senior-level mental health interventions, including mental state and psychological assessment (including crisis assessments), and individual, family and group treatments for young people aged 0-25 presenting with psychiatric, behavioural, emotional, social or developmental concerns.
  • Provide clinical and professional leadership to staff and students, and effectively lead multidisciplinary team functions.
  • Conduct comprehensive, recovery-orientated assessments, care coordination and evidence-based treatment planning in collaboration with consumers and families.
  • Consult, liaise and negotiate effectively with young people, families, community members and other health or social care professionals.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • A recognised qualification and registration in Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work, with relevant membership/eligibility requirements.
  • At least four years of post-registration experience in the mental health field.
  • High-level interpersonal and liaison skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young people, families, communities and professionals.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, public mental health frameworks and recovery-orientated practice.
