About the role

 Latrobe Regional Health are offering an Aboriginal Mental Health Traineeship, The Mental Health Traineeship is a three-year rotational training program within the Latrobe Regional Health Mental Health Services.

This position is available only to persons of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander decent under the special measures provision, Section 12 (1) of the equal opportunity act 2010 Victoria.The traineeship program will provide full time employment and support the successful applicant to complete a three-year full time Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health) degree at Charles Sturt University Wagga Wagga Campus commencing in 2026. The position supports the applicant to undergo supervised workplace training and clinical placements a total of 17 weeks over three years. It requires study to be completed via distance education including four, week long residential intensives per annum.

 

 

About you

There are no formal qualifications required for this traineeship but you will need

 

· A police check

· A working with Children’s check

· A Current Victorian Drivers Licence is essential.
