Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Accounts Payable Officer to join our growing team on a part time (0.8EFT) ongoing basis.

 

We are seeking a reliable and detailed-orientated Accounts Payable Officer to support the accurate maintenance of LRH’s financial and payable information. This role is responsible for processing and paying invoices, reconciling accounts, and completing a range of Accounts Payable duties. The position requires strong analytical skills to interpret financial and statistical data, as well as the ability to prepare reports and provide advise as needed.

The role of the Accounts Payable Officer is to:

  • Process creditor invoices and credit notes, ensuring correct coding and authorisation is applied.
  • Reconcile creditor statements and prepare weekly cheque and EFT payment runs.
  • Prepare monthly credit card payments and produce monthly Creditors Trial Balances.
  • Liaise with the Stores Department to maintain smooth workflows of accounts.
  • Manage daily financial collection and delivery, ensuring timely processing of correspondence.
  • Adhere to confidentiality requirements, maintain professional conduct, and produce accurate financial reports.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Prior experience in an office administration role, with strong computer literacy in Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • High-level data entry skills and the ability to process large volumes of invoices accurately.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer-focused service.
  • Experience with FMIS (Oracle) and Accounts Payable processes is desirable.
