Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Allied Health Clinical Educator to join our growing team on a part time (0.8EFT) fixed term basis until April 2027.

 

The Allied Health Clinical Educator plays a pivotal role in supporting Allied Health graduates and students by fostering a best-practice clinical learning environment. Working collaboratively with Education and Allied Health Discipline Managers, this position leads the planning, delivery, and evaluation of education and professional development programs. The role contributes to building organisational capacity for high-quality student placements, enhances clinical education systems, and supports quality improvement initiatives across the health service.

The role of the Allied Health Clinical Educator is to:

  • Facilitate clinical experience and placement programs for undergraduate and postgraduate Allied Health students, including coordination of Placeright requirements.
  • Identify Allied Health education and training needs and deliver learning programs aligned with BPCLE principles and organisational priorities.
  • Provide support, guidance and educational leadership to learners and Allied Health clinicians involved student supervision.
  • Coordinate and participate in education-related quality improvement initiatives, ensuring learner-centred approaches and effective program evaluation.
  • Contribute to relevant committees, networks and working groups, and collaborate with Gippsland and state-wide education networks to enhance training opportunities.
  • Attend relevant meetings and support organisational compliance with policies, standards and professional practice requirements.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, showing collaboration, respect and adaptability.
  • Hold current registration with AHPRA (or equivalent) and have post-graduate experience in an Allied Health Discipline.
  • Demonstrated excellent organisational, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to lead, show initiative and work independently.
  • Demonstrate strong digital competence and a commitment to quality improvement, safety and ongoing professional development.
