Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Anaesthetist to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) or part time fixed term basis.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Anaesthetist to join our Surgical and Perioperative Services Division. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality anaesthetic and perioperative care across inpatient and outpatient settings while ensuring best-practice clinical standards, safety and person-centred care. The Anaesthetist will provide leadership, supervise junior medical staff, support education, contribute to service planning and participate in continuous improvement initiatives aligned with LRH’s strategic priorities.

The role of the Anaesthetist is to:
- Deliver safe, high-quality anaesthetic care and ensure all clinical procedures comply with LRH policies, legislation and clinical guidelines.
- Provide clear and accurate documentation, ensuring treatment plans, patient outcomes and clinical events are recorded to meet legal and organisational requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, address clinical issues and ensure timely communication and handover across inpatient and outpatient services.
- Supervise, support and provide clinical leadership to junior medical staff, medical students and other health professional learners.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and review of treatment protocols, clinical guidelines and service improvement initiatives.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- MBBS or equivalent and registered with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA).
- Demonstrated clinical competence consistent with an Anaesthetists responsibilities and experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage respectfully with patients, carers and colleagues.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, provide supervision and support continuous professional development.
