Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Associate Midwife Unit Manager (AMUM) to join our growing team on a full time or part basis.
This position is a key leadership position in delivering high-quality, person-centred maternity care on our Thomson ward. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work across birthing suites, antenatal and postnatal care, supporting women, birthing people, babies and families through their maternity journey. As an AMUM, you will support the Midwife Unit Manager with day-to-day operations, clinical leadership, staff support, and service development to ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

The role of the Associate Midwife Unit Manager is:
- Deliver and maintain high standards of midwifery care that respect dignity, culture, and values of patients and families.
- Provide leadership and support across birthing suites, antenatal and postnatal ward areas.
- Empower individuals and families by ensuring consistent, evidence-based information and care.
- Actively support beginning practitioners, new staff, and students through mentoring and education.
- Promote and model the values of Latrobe Regional Health in all interactions.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Current Division 1 Registered Nurse with midwifery endorsement through AHPRA.
- Completion of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Fetal Survellance Education Program (FSEP) Level 3.
- Competency in Basic Life Support and Neonatal Life Support.
- Previous experience in leadership or management roles (desirable).
