Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Radiotherapy to join our growing team on a Part Time Basis 0.9 FTE up to Full Time Basis.

 

The Gippsland Radiation Oncology team is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) – Radiotherapy to join our team. In this role, you will support the coordination, management, and development of the radiotherapy unit to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in ensuring excellent patient outcomes, efficient service delivery, and continuous improvement within a dynamic cancer care environment.

The role of the Radiotherapy Associate Nurse Unit Manager is to:

  • Support the coordination and delivery of high-quality, person-centred nursing care within the radiotherapy unit.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to staff, including workload allocation, rostering, and team support.
  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation to support continuity of care and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and respond effectively to changing clinical situations.
  • Promote education and professional development for staff and patients, including prevention of complications.
  • Contribute to operational management, including resource allocation, equipment oversight, and quality improvement initiatives.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and strong clinical experience, ideally in oncology or radiotherapy services.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to support, guide and develop staff within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on person-centred care.
  • Highly organised with strong time management and decision-making skills in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, professional development, and delivering high-quality healthcare services.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and proactive in responding to changing service needs and priorities.
