Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Cancer Service Improvement Coordinator to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) fixed term basis until July 2027.
The Cancer Service Improvement Coordinator supports the integration, coordination and continuous of cancer services across Gippsland and partner health services. Working within the Gippsland Regional Integrated Cancer Services (GRICS), the role delivers project management, coordination and performance monitoring across priority areas including multidisciplinary care, supportive care, survivorship and Victorian Cancer Plan initiatives. The position works in an agile and responsive manger, aligning regional service delivery with Optimal Care Pathways (OCPs), state-wide priorities and evolving policy directions to improve cancer patient journeys and outcomes.

The role of the Cancer Service Improvement Coordinator is to:
- Deliver and coordinate cancer service improvement projects that strengthen integration, coordination and quality of care across Gippsland Health Services.
- Monitor performance and use cancer data to identify gaps, track outcomes and support improvements aligned with Optimal Care Pathways and Victorian Cancer Plan priorities.
- Engage and communicate with key stakeholders including clinicians, general practitioners, consumers, carers, community, primary and palliative care providers to support GRICS objectives.
- Prepare reports, briefings and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including GRICS Governance Group and Department of Health as directed.
- Contribute to service mapping and system analysis activities to understand regional cancer service delivery and identify improvements opportunities.
- Respond flexibly to emerging local, regional and state wide priorities, policy changes and government initiatives impacting cancer care.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- A tertiary qualification in healthcare discipline or related field, with experience in project management and service improvement.
- Familiarity with the healthcare system, gained through clinical quality improvement, data, research or service coordination roles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, analyse data, deliver outcomes and contribute to quality improvement and clinical risk management initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to prepare clear, accurate reports and recommendations for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of the cancer sector, Victorian Cancer Plan, medical terminology and healthcare data analytics (desirable).
