Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Cancer Survivorship Nurse to join our growing team on a part-time (0.6EFT) fixed term until 30 June 2027.

The Cancer Survivorship Nurse plays a vital role in coordinating the nurse-led survivorship clinic within the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre. This position is responsible for assessing the ongoing needs of cancer survivors, developing treatment summaries, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create individualised survivorship care plans.

The Cancer Survivorship Nurse will provide education, resources and support to empower patients to actively manage their health and wellbeing beyond active treatment. In addition, the role provides leadership in advancing survivorship care and supporting the establishment of survivorship clinics across the Gippsland region.

The role of the Cancer Survivorship Nurse is:

• Coordinate and deliver the nurse-led survivorship clinic, providing comprehensive assessment, care planning and education for patients.
• Develop and implement individual survivorship care plans in consultation with oncologists, GPs and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Promote self-management and health prevention strategies to support long-term survivorship and wellbeing.
• Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of survivorship services through data collection, audits and participation in research activities.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities with a focus on a person-centred care.
• Confidence and initiative to work autonomously while contributing to team outcomes.
• Adaptability and professionalism in managing competing priorities and complex clinical situations.
• Post graduate qualification in oncology, cancer nursing or a related field (desirable)
