Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for a dedicated Cardiac Technician to join the Cardiology Department on an ongoing, full time basis.
The Cardiac Technician is responsible for performing a range of technical duties in the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories and non-invasive diagnostic cardiac investigations in the outpatient setting under the supervision of Senior Cardiac Physiologists and Cardiologists. These include ECG's. Holter and event monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), and stress testing. The role is integral to the delivery of safe, timely, and high-quality cardiology diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients. There may be future opportunities to train as a Cardiac Sonographer if desired.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Science Degree, plus Year 1 of the Mayfield Cardiac Technology course or equivalent.
- Experience in Cardiac Diagnostics, Cath Lab and Pacemaker Clinics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and patient education.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a regional health environment.
- Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development and quality improvement.
