Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is seeking a motivated and adaptable Clerical Services Officer (Roving) to join our Clerical Services team on a part-time ongoing basis (7 days a fortnight). This is an exciting opportunity to work across a variety of departments, providing essential administrative support that contributes directly to high-quality patient care.
About the Role
As a Clerical Services Officer (Roving), you will be responsible for processing patient admissions, discharges, transfers and associated clerical duties across the various departments. You will be relied upon to step into different ward environments, ensuring seamless service delivery and a welcoming experience for patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing accurate and timely patient admission, discharge, and transfer data
- Delivering courteous, customer-focused front desk and phone services
- Maintaining patient records and handling general clerical tasks (filing, data entry, photocopying)
- Supporting daily operations using hospital software systems and Microsoft Office
- Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams
- Contributing to service improvement and best practice in clerical services
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment
- High level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office and willingness to learn internal systems
