Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Clerical Services Officer (Transit Lounge) to join our growing team on a part-time (0.5EFT) fixed term basis until December 2027.

 

In this role, you will provide essential ward clerk duties including reception, switchboard, data entry and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our clinical departments. You will play a key role in supporting person-centred care by delivering high-quality clerical services in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The role of the Clerical Services Officer (Transit Lounge) is:

  • Deliver professional and switchboard services, responding to all enquires with courtesy and efficiency.
  • Accurately process patient admissions, discharges and transfers using hospital systems such as iPM and Sunrise (EMR).
  • Maintain and update patient records, enter daily/monthly statistics, and generate reports as required.
  • Perform general administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, faxing, and mail distribution.
  • Support appointment booking and liaise with internal departments to ensure continuity of care.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Experience in customer service and working in a busy environment, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including phone etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Officer and hospital systems (desirable).
  • Friendly, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery.
