Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Clerical Services Officer to join our growing team on a casual basis.
The Clerical Services Officer plays an important role in supporting patient-centred care by providing high-quality clerical, administrative and customer service functions across wards, reception, switchboard and data-entry activities. Working as part of the Clerical Services team, this position is responsible for accurate patient information processing, reception support, record management, and contributing to efficient day-to-day operations across acute, subacute and mental health areas.

The role of the Clerical Services Officer is to:
- Provide efficient clerical services include filing, patient record management, mail sorting/distribution, data entry and use of LRH systems.
- Deliver high-quality customer service by responding to reception and telephone enquiries professionally and courteously, and supporting staff and visitors.
- Process patient admissions, discharges, transfers and acidity data, ensuring all information is accurate and correctly recorded.
- Support continuous improvement of Clerical Services by reviewing work practices, contributing suggestions, and seeking customer feedback.
- Participate as a flexible and collaboration team member, assisting with training/orientation of new staff and maintaining positive workplace relationships.
- Comply with LRH policies, statutory requirements, safety standards, mandatory training and audit processes, including OH&S and risk management protocols.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Experience in customer service, working in busy environments and working with minimal supervision.
- Excellent telephone techniques, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong commitment to customer service, confidentiality, professionalism and high personal presentation standards.
- Flexibility, adaptability, willingness to learn and the ability to work well under conflicting demands.
