Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for a dedicated Clinical Educator (Chemotherapy) to join our friendly team on a part time, basis of 32 hours per fortnight.
The Clinical Educator is responsible for motivating the workforce in the delivery of excellence in clinical and professional standards. Utilising your professional experience and knowledge of health education in the general hospital setting, you will work closely with the leadership team to drive learning/teaching programs and projects that support Latrobe Regional Health's clinical and strategic objectives.
The key accountabilities of the Clinical Educator include, but are not limited to:
- Actively supporting the continuous professional development of staff.
- Providing quality tailored clinical and theoretical education services for staff, including organising and facilitating protected education and in-service sessions.
- Providing clinical support for staff members, including new staff, graduate nurses, nursing students, and postgraduate nurses in the clinical environment.
- Provide, deliver and evaluate Education and training related to Cancer Care at LRH
- Ensure the provision of relevant educational resources are current, evidenced based and align with LRH policies and protocols, Governing guidelines and NSQHS standards lrh.com.au
- Monitor and manage the uptake of mandatory learning activities relevant to the role in line with relevant LRH policies and training matrix
- Collaborate with relevant Clinical Education team members to monitor reporting and compliance data for mandatory training
- Fostering collaborative practices where learner centred principles are incorporated into training.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
- Relevant Postgraduate qualification in speciality area (or enrolled/working towards).
- Evidence of recent clinical experience in Cancer Care / Chemotherapy setting.
- Certificate IV Training & Assessment or equivalent is desirable.
- Minimum five (5) years post registration experience.
- Evidence of recent professional development.
- Thorough understanding of the National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience in delivering training and/or mentoring of others.
- Sound interprofessional collaboration skills.
