About the role

Latrobe Regional Health is seeking a Clinical Lead 26+ to Join our Community Mental Health Team on a Full-time ongoing basis.

In this role as a Clinical Lead 26+, you will provide clinical leadership, governance, and oversight across community mental health services for adults aged 26 years and over throughout Gippsland. Working in partnership with Site Managers, Operations Managers, and senior mental health leaders, you will drive clinical excellence, support multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the delivery of safe, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care. This role offers the opportunity to influence service design, lead quality improvement initiatives, and strengthen mental health outcomes for consumers, carers, and communities across a regional service network.

The role of the Clinical Lead 26+ is to:

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight across the 26+ Community Mental Health Service, ensuring high-quality, safe, and evidence-based care is delivered consistently across multiple Gippsland sites.
• Lead the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the 26+ Model of Care, supporting strong clinical governance, risk management, and service quality frameworks.
• Provide advanced clinical supervision, mentoring, coaching, and professional leadership to multidisciplinary clinicians, supporting workforce capability and clinical excellence.
• Monitor service performance, clinical outcomes, quality indicators, and key performance targets, leading quality improvement initiatives to enhance consumer outcomes and service effectiveness.
• Foster strong partnerships with consumers, carers, healthcare providers, and community agencies to improve service integration, continuity of care, and coordinated treatment pathways.
• Contribute to strategic planning, policy development, service redesign, and change management initiatives that support the ongoing growth and transformation of adult community mental health services.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• Qualified Mental Health professional with registration and/or professional eligibility in Nursing, Psychology, or Social Work, supported by the relevant professional registration or membership requirements.
• Minimum five years' post-registration experience in mental health, including significant experience working with adults experiencing severe and complex mental health challenges.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead clinical programs, support multidisciplinary teams, and drive evidence-based practice improvements.
• Strong knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022, contemporary mental health reform, clinical governance frameworks, and quality and safety standards.
• Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across diverse service settings.
• Passionate about recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally safe care, with a commitment to improving outcomes for consumers, carers, and communities.
