Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Clinical Nurse Consultant (Peritoneal Dialysis) to join our growing team on a part-time (0.4EFT) ongoing basis.

 

This role will contribute to the continuum of care for patients using Peritoneal Dialysis as renal replacement therapy. This role aims to improve health outcomes for patients and their carers across inpatient, outpatient, and home settings. You will provide advanced clinical expertise, leadership, and education to support high-quality, evidence-based care.

The role of Clinical Nurse Consultant (Peritoneal Dialysis) is:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and formulate care plans in collaboration with patients and carers.
  • Implement and evaluate nursing care to achieve optimal outcomes within scope of practice.
  • Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and education to nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure adhere to International Standards for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) and LRH guidelines.
  • Contribute to policy development, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities.
  • Maintain strong professional links with regional renal health services and community groups.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Current registration as Division 1 Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Renal Nursing and minimum three years’ experience in Peritoneal Dialysis.
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in dialysis management and chronic kidney disease care.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
