Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for two Clinical Psychology Registrars to join our growing team on a fixed term full-time basis, from January 2026 until January 2028.

The Team

The Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (AMHWS), forming part of Latrobe Regional Health, offers a range of inpatient and community-based services for consumers experiencing mental health disorder and psychological distress in the Gippsland region. As the regional referral hospital for Gippsland, LRH plays a lead role in the provision of specialist services and as a major teaching hospital.

The Role

Under the supervision of an experienced Clinical Psychologist and Board-Approved Supervisor, along with the Team Leader, the Psychology Registrar will provide comprehensive biopsychosocial clinical assessments and formulation, along with recovery-focused psychological treatment, intervention, and care, to people and their families that are evidence-based and best practice to enhance the person’s recovery from mental health disorder and psychological distress.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology 
  • Registration with AHPRA and the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Basic theoretical knowledge and skills in the assessment, treatment and care of people with complex mental health and psychosocial needs
