Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our growing on a part time up to full term fixed term basis for 12 months. EFT negotiable with a minimum of 0.8EFT required.

The Clinical Trial Coordinator (CTC) is responsible for coordinating and implementing clinical trials and teletrials across a range of clinical specialties at Latrobe Regional Health. The role supports the delivery of high‑quality research by coordinating patient participation, managing study documentation and data, liaising with investigators and sponsors, and ensuring compliance with clinical trial governance requirements.

Working within the Research & Clinical Trials Unit, the Clinical Trial Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting research excellence, participant safety and the successful delivery of clinical trial programs that benefit patients and the broader Gippsland community.

The role of the Clinical Trials Coordinator is to:

• Coordinate the implementation and day‑to‑day management of clinical trials and teletrials, including participant screening, recruitment, consent, visits and study activities.
• Maintain accurate study documentation, databases and clinical trial records, ensuring data quality, integrity and compliance with study protocols.
• Liaise with sponsors, investigators, clinicians, research staff and participants to support effective trial delivery and communication.
• Support clinical trial governance activities, including ethics submissions, amendments, progress reports, safety reporting and compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements.
• Assess participant suitability against study eligibility criteria and contribute to the ongoing management and monitoring of research participants.
• Deliver education and research support activities, including staff training, protocol implementation and dissemination of study information.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• Relevant professional registration with AHPRA (where applicable) and/or postgraduate qualifications or professional development relevant to clinical research.
• Experience in clinical research or clinical trials, with a sound understanding of research governance and regulatory requirements.
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple studies and competing priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research and the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework.
• The ability to communicate complex research information sensitively and professionally with participants, families and healthcare professionals.
