Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our growing team on a part-time (0.8EFT) or full tme basis, fixed term basis for 12 months with potential for extension.

The role of the Clinical Trial Coordinator is:
- Coordinating and implementing oncology clinical and teletrials at LRH a
- Integrating information from the sponsor, investigator and oncology teams with a significant degree of project management and administrative processes.
- Efficiently organise patient screening, consent, visits and admissions, while simultaneously assessing and meeting the holistic needs of study patients.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive study files, clinical documentation and related records both in hard copy and within the clinical trials management system (CTMS) as appropriate. Resolve queries expediently.
- Collate data and manage budgets as required using spreadsheets and databases
- Preparing ethics and governance applications.
- To monitor and track trial activity and provide reports of this activity as necessary.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- A high level of initiation, flexibility, organisation and the ability to work independently across a range of tasks
- A degree in Nursing or equivalent; Or evidence of Project Management; Or evidence of further education including post-graduate certification/diploma/continuous professional development specific to clinical research or relevant to the role.
- Experience in clinical research or clinical trials.
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally with all key stakeholders including investigators, health care providers, patients and research participants.
- Highly organised with a proven ability to prioritise tasks in a busy research environment.
- Able to make assessments of patient suitability for a clinical trial from the nursing perspective.
- Ability to discuss complex research topics with patients and/or their family members in a sensitive and professional manner that recognises their holistic needs.
