Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Dietitian (Grade 1 or 2) to join our growing team. We have a total of 2.5EFT of positions, consisting of both permanent and 12-months fixed term (parental leave and long-service leave cover.

 

The Dietitian (Grade 1 or 2) provides clinical dietetic services to patients at LRH. Services will be client-focused, efficient, effective, meeting established standards of excellence. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care, contribute to service development, and support quality improvement initiatives.

The role of the Dietitian is:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical dietetic services across LRH.
  • Actively participate in clinical meetings and nutrition care planning.
  • Liaise with Catering Department regarding special and general diets.
  • Monitor provisions of diets and supplements to patients.
  • Contribute to research and quality improvement.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and statistics.
  • Provide clinical support and supervision to junior staff and dietetic students (Grade 2).
  • Coordinate student placements and assist with policy and protocol development (Grade 2).

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent).
  • Eligibility for Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) credentialing.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and provide clinical support to junior staff and students (Grade 2).
