Join Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) as our next Director of Clinical Services – Adult / Older Adult Community, and play a critical role in shaping high-quality, patient-centred care for our community across Gippsland.
About the Role
This senior leadership position is responsible for providing strategic, operational and clinical oversight to the Adult / Older Adult Community mental health stream. You will drive excellence in service delivery, education, and research while maintaining strong engagement with staff, consumers, and external partners.
Reporting to the Divisional Director and Chief Medical Officer, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and guide the service towards achieving quality outcomes, financial sustainability, and ongoing innovation in line with LRH’s strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership to ensure efficient and high-quality clinical care, aligned with performance, safety, and financial targets.
- Lead a collaborative multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated, person-centred community mental health services.
- Drive clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives while fostering a culture of continuous learning and staff development.
- Support education and research through mentoring, supervision, and development of competency-based training programs.
- Engage with consumers, internal stakeholders, and community partners to improve service design and responsiveness to patient needs.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- MBBS or equivalent.
- Registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of RANZCOG or RACP.
- Significant experience in Psychiatry.
- Significant experience in leading clinical programs or services.
- Proven ability to guide and influence multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical communication, integrity, and professionalism.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and collaborative practice.
