This a part-time, fixed term leadership role that combines clinical expertise with strategic oversight. You will guide and inspire your speciality group, ensuring high-quality, contemporary care is consistently delivered across our Obstetrics & Gynaecology services.
Working in close partnership with the Clinical Operations leadership group, you will play a key role in strengthening clinical governance, optimising service delivery, and driving continuous improvement. As the Director, you will also act as a subject matter expert, providing trusted advice to the Chief Medical Officer, collaborating across specialities, and contributing to the ongoing development of sustainable, patient-centre services.
Teaching, mentoring, and service innovation will form an integral part of your role as you help shape the next generation, foster multidisciplinary collaboration, and ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence are maintained across the division.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- MBBS or equivalent.
- Registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of RANZCOG.
- Additional postgraduate education in Public Health, Research or Management is desirable.
- Demonstrated clinical ability commensurate with that expected of an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist.
- Ability to communicate with patients and their carers with respect and empathy.
- Demonstrated ability to work with other staff including management, senior and junior medical staff, nursing staff and students in a respectful, supportive and cooperative manner.
