About the role

We are seeking a visionary Divisional Director to lead, inspire and advance the women’s and children’s services. You will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic direction, operational oversight, and clinical leadership, while working closely with the LRH Executive and senior medical and management teams.

 

This is an opportunity to influence the delivery of integrated, multidisciplinary care across the region, driving continuous improvement in clinical governance, patient outcomes, service development, and performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across the division, ensuring the highest standard of evidence-based care.
  • Lead, support, and mentor Women’s and Children’s specialists to foster innovation and clinical excellence.
  • Champion multidisciplinary collaboration across medical, nursing and allied health teams.
  • Drive the development of specialised programs aligned with community needs and LRH’s priorities.
  • Actively contribute to the development and delivery of training, education, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Strengthen partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program delivery and referral relationships.
  • Cultivate a culture of learning, respect and continuous improvement.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • MBBS or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship of RANZCOG or RACP.
  • Significant experience in Obstetrics or Paediatrics.
  • Significant experience in leading clinical programs or services.
  • Proven ability to guide and influence multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical communication, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and collaborative practice.
