Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for Ward Clerk (Emergency Department) to join our growing team on a part-time (0.5EFT) fixed term basis until 30 June 2026.
Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is seeking a motivated and professional Ward Clerk to join our busy Emergency Department. This role is an essential part of the patient journey, providing clerical and reception support to ensure accurate processing of admissions, discharges, and transfers, while delivering a friendly and customer-focused service to patients, visitors, and staff.
As an Emergency Department Ward Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the department by managing patient information, reception services, and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role of the Ward Clerk (Emergency Department) is:
- Processing patient admissions, discharges, and transfers accurately and efficiently.
- Entering patient data and maintaining up-to-date documentation and records.
- Providing high-quality reception services, including managing phone calls and enquiries.
- Supporting the Emergency Department team by assisting with clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and correspondence.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and service development.
- Demonstrating strong customer service skills and professionalism when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
About you

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and welcoming manner.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational ability, and the capacity to meet deadlines.
