Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Emergency Registrar to join our growing team on a full-time (1.0EFT) fixed term basis until January 2027.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in a regional trauma care while working within a supportive multidisciplinary environment at a leading regional hospital. Suitable for ACEM trainees, non-trainees pursuing Emergency Medicine qualifications, and GP trainees, this position provides exposure to a broad case mix and opportunities for professional development.

The role of the Emergency Registrar is:

• Deliver day-to-day medical care under supervision, appropriate to your level of experience.
• Coordinate patient care within the Emergency Department, supporting a multidisciplinary team.
• Communicate effectively during clinical handovers and escalate care issues when required.
• Supervise and educate junior medical staff and contribute to medical student teaching.
• Participate in the Emergency Department roster in line with safe working hours.
• Engage in clinical audits, quality improvements initiatives, and research where appropriate.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• MBBS or equivalent with current General Registration with AHPRA.
• Experience working in an Emergency Department setting.
• Strong clinical competence and commitment to ongoing learning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing demands.
