Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Finance Manager to join our growing team on a full-time (1.0EFT) fixed term basis until February 2027 for parental leave coverage.

 

This role provides high-level accounting and budgeting experience, lead the finance team, and support the Chief Financial Officer in delivering a quality financial service. This pivotal role ensures compliance with Department of Health reporting requirements, oversees financial operations, and contributes to strategic planning and governance.

The role of Finance Manager is:

  • Oversee all aspects of Finance department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking and Accounting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Department of Health and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare financial reports and commentary for the Board and executive leadership.
  • Manage the integrity of the General Ledger and ensure compliance with AASB Standards.
  • Develop annual operating budgets in collaboration with internal stakeholders and monitor monthly results.
  • Coordinate external audits with VAGO and manage internal audit processes.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting (CA or CPA desirable).
  • Proven experience managing a finance team and delivering complex financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of public health sector funding models and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Oracle or similar accounting system.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within deadlines.
