Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Finance Officer to join our growing team on a part time (0.6EFT-0.8EFT) fixed term basis until February 2027.

Working as part of a collaborative Finance team, this role provides hands-on support across banking, reconciliations, accounts receivable, and general accounting activities. The Finance Officer plays an important role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting internal stakeholders, and contributing to efficient day-to-day finance operations across the health service.

The role of the Finance Office is to:

• Perform daily banking activities, including receipting and reconciliation of cash, cheque and direct deposits.
• Assist with accounts receivable function, including debtor processing and VMO claims.
• Prepare and maintain ledger reconciliations and support accurate financial reporting.
• Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Finance team, including data analysis and management of large databases.
• Support non-medical indemnity insurance processes, including liaison with VMIA and internal stakeholders and maintenance of insurance registers.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• Previous experience in an administrative or finance-related role.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse, reconcile and manage financial data accurately.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook with confidence using formulas in Excel.
• Well-developed organisational and time-management skills and a proactive, flexible approach to work.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and contribute positively within a busy finance environment.
