Gippsland Health Alliance is looking for Junior Project Manager to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) ongoing basis.
The Junior Project Manager plays a key role in supporting the planning, execution and successful delivery of projects across the Gippsland Health Alliance (GHA). Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, this role assists in applying the Project Management Office (PMO) lifecycle, coordinating governance processes and delivering essential projects artefacts. The position contributes to effective stakeholder engagement, risk and issue management, and ensures projects are delivered in line with agreed timeframes, timeliness and quality expectations within a complex healthcare environment.

The role of the Junior Project Manager is to:
- Support and, where appropriate, lead the implementation of GHA projects in accordance with the GHA Project Management Framework and PMO lifecycle.
- Assist with planning and coordination activities including maintaining and updating RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies), requirements capture and business case preparation.
- Coordinate and facilitate project governance activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, recording minutes and tracking actions.
- Prepare, document and execute test cases, support user testing activities and assist with system access and implementation readiness.
- Support project communication and document control, including use of tools such as Asana and SharePoint to enable effective collaboration and reporting.
- Contribute to procurement and vendor engagement processes, stakeholder interaction and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- 2-5 years’ experience working in project management or project support roles, with exposure to structured delivery frameworks.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMBOK or similar (formal qualifications desirable).
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Experience working within health, government or similarity complex environments, and familiarity with digital collaboration tolls and governance processes (desirable).
