Gippsland Health Alliance is looking for Project Manager to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) ongoing basis.

 

The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in planning, executing and successfully delivering projects across the Gippsland Health Alliance (GHA). Operating within the Project Management Office (PMO) lifecycle, this role ensures projects are delivered in line with best-practice methodologies, agreed timelines and budgets. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Project Manager provides strategic project management expertise, leads stakeholder engagement across a complex healthcare network, and supports continuity of operations.

The role of the Project Manager is to:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of GHA projects in alignment with the PMO lifecycle, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business cases, project plans, risk registers (RAID), status reports and statutory reports.
  • Provide expert project management advice and best-practice guidance to GHA staff, supporting consistent and effective delivery across the organisation.
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders including GHA member hospitals, vendors, community health professionals and governance groups to ensure agreed outcomes are delivered.
  • Identify, log and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies and leading timely resolution efforts.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project governance forums, manage project resources and oversee vendor relationships.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Formal qualifications in PRINCE2, PMBOK or similar, with demonstrated project management experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience delivering projects using structured methodologies, with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Sound understanding of change management and business analysis concepts, supported by strong Microsoft Office capability.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience working in public health or multi-site network environments, and a tertiary qualification in a related field (desirable)
