Located in Gippsland, Latrobe Regional Health's Graduate Peri-Operative Nursing Program is a fixed term, part time position for 18 months. Intake for the Graduate Program is in January and July of 2026. Positions in the Graduate Peri-Operative Nursing Program include: 

 

18 months onsite at LRH:

  • Six (6) months in surgical nursing.
  • Twelve (12) months in Peri-Operative Suite.


Throughout our Graduate Peri-Operative Nursing Program, you will participate in a robust orientation program and further study days, helping you to consolidate your learning from your Undergraduate studies. You will be supported by the Graduate Nurse and Midwifery Program Coordinator, the Education and Training Unit (ETU) and the wider LRH team. The wage will be in accordance with the relevant EBA.  

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife (Division 1) with AHPRA.
  • Eligibility to participate in a Graduate Nurse Program. 
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian 'Permanent Residency status' or Australian trained temporary resident who hold a current Australian Working Rights Visa.
  • Not previously participated in a Graduate Nurse or Graduate Nurse/Midwifery Program at a Hospital/Health Service.
  • A (or is able to obtain) National Police Record Check and a Working with Children Check. 
  • An up-to-date flu vaccination or willingness to obtain prior to commencing.
