Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Anaesthetics/ICU Registrar to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) fixed term basis.

The role of the Anaesthetics/ICU Registrar is:

  • Deliver day-to-day patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment under supervision of senior medical staff.
  • Coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team and ensure timely communication and clinical handover.
  • Undertake pre-admission assessments and manage perioperative and critical care patients.
  • Participate in departmental education programs and provide supervision and teaching to junior medical staff and students.
  • Contribute to clinical audits, research activities, and initiatives that enhance patient safety and quality of care.
  • Participate in the on-call roster in accordance with safe working hours provisions.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent with current registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence appropriate to your level of training and experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Adaptable, self-directed, and enthusiastic, with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, with respect for diversity and inclusiveness.
  • Ability to participate in after-hours rosters and respond effectively to changing clinical demands.
