Are you an Instrument Technician seeking a diverse role at a leading regional health service? Join the Central Sterilisation Services department at Latrobe Regional Health, where a ‘world of opportunities awaits'.

Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is currently seeking a dedicated Instrument Technician from Grade 1 to Grade 5 on either an ongoing, full-time or part-time basis


Our Instrument Technicians efficiently and effectively receive, decontaminate, assemble, sterilise and package reusable medical devices at the highest standard working autonomously or under supervision of a Grade 5 Instrument Technician or Manager. In addition, transporting of reusable medical devices throughout the hospital, our Instrument Technicians endeavour to provide efficient, optimum quality, safe and professional services to patients and stakeholders in a patient focused environment through effective and committed teamwork in a safe working environment.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Willingness to complete or have completed Certificate IV Health Sterilising Services (HLT47015) or equivalent. 
  • Demonstrated ongoing professional development through attendance to relevant short courses and education programs.
  • Ability to work within a patient centred team environment.
  • Ability to undertake work of a general nature such as instrument reprocessing, understanding of validation protocol and infection control processes. 
  • Willingness and ability to work under direct supervision. 
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Performance of Central Sterilisation Services tasks quickly, efficiently and effectively. 
  • Ability to work autonomously (Grade 3-5)
