Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Lead Pharmacist – Clinical Programs & Education to join our growing team on a part time (0.6EFT) ongoing basis.
This pivotal role will lead the development and management of structured education and training programs, including undergraduate, intern, SHPA Foundation Residency, and advanced Training Residency programs. You will contribute to clinical services delivery in areas including critical care, emergency, surgery, and general medicine. The role of the Lead Pharmacist – Clinical Programs & Education is:
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of education and training programs for pharmacy staff, interns, and residents.
- Develop and deliver advanced practice training placements and educational sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide safe and effective clinical pharmacy services within designated clinical areas.
- Support multidisciplinary teams through medications reviews, advice on pharmacological treatments, and participation in team meetings.
- Contribute to research, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, including presenting and publishing findings.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with policies and fostering professional development.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Registered pharmacist with AHPRA and credentialed at Advanced (Stage 3) practice or equivalent portfolio.
- Significant clinical experience in hospital pharmacy, with demonstrated leadership and education expertise.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and mentoring skills, with commitment to professional development.
- Ability to innovate and implement new education and workforce initiatives.
- Compassionate, adaptable, and motivated, with a focus on patient care and service improvement.
- Postgraduate qualifications in education or clinical pharmacy (desirable).
