Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for multiple dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Lung) to join our growing team on a fixed term, full-time basis until 01 October 2026.
Working with our respiratory team, this new Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) role acts as a key point of contact for patients navigating complex diagnostic and treatment pathways. You will provide expert nursing care, clinical coordination, and patient navigation across outpatient clinics, procedural services, and inpatient settings.
In this pivotal position, you will ensure timely triage, comprehensive clinical assessment, coordination of diagnostic workups, and structured follow-up in accordance with evidence-based guidelines and best-practice pathways. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, patient-centred care across the Lung Nodule Service, Lung Cancer Screening pathways, Complex Airways Clinics, Bronchoscopy Services, and inpatient respiratory care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical assessment, care planning, and specialist nursing interventions for patients with respiratory conditions across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings.
- Triage, assess, and coordinate care for patients with lung nodules, ensuring timely investigation, follow-up, and multidisciplinary discussions.
- Act as a consistent point of contact for patients and families, delivering clear information, health education, and emotional support throughout their care journey.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between referring clinicians, hospital teams, and community health providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Lead nursing input into respiratory specialty services, including the bronchoscopy service and complex airways clinics.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Minimum three years’ clinical experience in acute care, respiratory, oncology, or a related specialty.
- Postgraduate qualification or advanced knowledge in respiratory care, oncology nursing, or chronic disease management (or willingness to undertake further study).
- Demonstrated clinical competency in patient assessment, care coordination, and nursing interventions relevant to lung nodule and lung cancer pathways.
- Commitment to patient-centred care, continuous improvement, and best-practice clinical standards.
