Our team is currently recruiting a Mental Health Advise & Response Service Clinician. This is an ongoing part time position for 8 hours per week, located at the Morwell Magistrates Court.

 

The MHARS Clinician provides specialist clinical mental health advice to Magistrates, Community Correctional Services (CCS) and court users to ensure the appropriateness of mental health interventions and referrals for people appearing before the Court. The clinician provides a clinical mental health service including a responsive recovery-oriented approach from Magistrates’ Court users including screening, assessment, provision of reports, advice, consultation and referral.

 

 

About you

We are looking for candidates with:

 

  • Division 1 Registered Nurse with a formal post-Graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing, with current AHRPA registration, or
  • Occupational Therapist or Registered Psychologist, with current AHPRA, or
  • Degree or Diploma in Social Work eligibility or other qualification acceptable for membership to AASW.
  • Demonstrated extensive senior level clinical experience, in excess of 5 years across preferably MHARS and/or Forensics.
  • Other demonstated high level senior experience in excess of 5 years may be considered if relevant to the role.
  • High level assessment and formulation skills
