Are you seeking a diverse and rewarding Nurse Practitioner (Palliative Care) role at a leading regional hospital? Join the Palliative Care team at Latrobe Regional Health where a ‘world of opportunities awaits’. 

Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is currently looking for Nurse Practitioner (Palliative Care) on a part-time basis, fixed term until 14th September 2025.

 

The key responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner (Palliative Care) are responsible, within the palliative care area of specialty, for delivering expert clinical guidance, advice, and clinical leadership to the target population for health professionals in the LRH inpatient setting and across the sub regions in Gippsland.

 

The Palliative Care Consultancy Gippsland (PCCG) has been established to deliver specialised palliative care across Gippsland. The PCCG is located at Latrobe Regional Hospital and operates under the Palliative Care Regional Consultancy Governance as stipulated by the Victorian Department of Health. The PCCG sits alongside the existing home based and inpatient care to promote connection and collaboration to deliver seamless palliative care to patients and their caregivers across Gippsland. The PCCG aims to provide specialised palliative care to patients and their families according to their preferences and goals.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Completion of Board approved Nurse Practitioner qualification at Masters level or education equivalent as determined by the board.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership that influences and progresses clinical care, policy and collaboration through all levels of the Health Service.
  • Commitment to customer service and quality improvements.
  • High level decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to Continuum of Care Standards.
