Latrobe Regional Health is looking for O&G Registrar to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) fixed term basis until February 2028.

The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar provides high‑quality medical care to obstetrics and gynaecology patients while working as an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Under the supervision of senior medical staff, the Registrar applies advanced clinical knowledge and skills to support the diagnosis, investigation and treatment of patients across inpatient, outpatient and on‑call settings.

The role also contributes to the supervision and education of junior medical staff and medical students, participates in quality improvement and research activities, and supports the ongoing delivery of safe, evidence‑based women’s health services.

The role of the O&G Registrar is to:

• Provide day‑to‑day clinical care to obstetrics and gynaecology patients under the supervision of consultants, ensuring safe and high‑quality patient outcomes.
• Coordinate patient care within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring timely communication, clinical documentation and handover processes.
• Attend outpatient gynaecology clinics and contribute to the assessment, investigation and management of patients.
• Supervise and support junior medical staff and contribute to the education and development of medical students.
• Participate in after‑hours rosters, departmental coordination activities and escalation of complex clinical issues to senior staff as required.
• Contribute to clinical audits, research, quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

• Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, with General Registration through AHPRA.
• Relevant clinical experience in an Obstetrics and Gynaecology department.
• Clinical competence appropriate to your level of postgraduate training, with sound diagnostic and patient management skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, education and evidence‑based practice.
• The ability to support, teach and mentor junior medical staff and contribute positively to a learning environment.
• Registration as a RANZCOG trainee and completion of PROMPT, FSEP and Neonatal Resuscitation training (desirable).
