Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Orthopaedic HMO to join our growing team on a full-time fixed basis.

 

The Orthopaedic HMO plays a vital role in delivery high-quality medical care across a broad range of clinical areas for orthopaedic cases. Working under supervision of Registrars, Consultants and Clinical Leads, the Orthopaedic HMO contributes to the ongoing assessment, management, and treatment of patients. This position provides an excellent opportunity to further develop clinical skills, gain exposure to diverse medical specialities, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a supportive and educational environment.

The role of the Orthopaedic HMO is:

  • Assess, manage and document the clinical needs of patients under supervision, ensuring safe and evidence-based care.
  • Conduct thorough patient histories, physical examinations and diagnostic assessment to support accurate clinical decision-making.
  • Participate in patient management planning, including investigations, treatment and discharge processes.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

 

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Hold current general registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience, with a sound understanding of medical procedures and patient management principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
