Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is currently seeking a dedicated Orthopaedic Registrar (Unaccredited) to join the Medical Services team on a full-time fixed term until 31st January 2027. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain broad surgical experience, deliver quality patient care, and work closely with experienced orthopaedic consultants.
In this role, you will provide both routine and emergency orthopaedic care under consultant supervision, participate in on-call responsibilities, and contribute to the teaching and supervision of junior doctors, medical students and nursing staff. You will also play a role in supporting multidisciplinary care across the hospital, including providing assessment services to the Emergency Department when required.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Current registration (or eligibility) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated clinical ability at registrar level in orthopaedic practice
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing safe, patient-centred care
